Featuring two enlarged ratchets with 90 teeth, it offers the smallest engagement angle in DT Swiss’s lineup. This ensures simultaneous full engagement, providing a larger contact patch and balanced load distribution. On the trail, this translates to more direct acceleration out of corners and quicker pedal position adjustments on technical uphill sections.

• Achieving a different engagement angle from what DT Swiss has done to date required a significant adaptation to the drive side of the hub. The Ratchet DEG system and its new hub body allow the installation of size-optimized 90-tooth ratchets at 4 degrees
